Records: Amsel (1933); Palmoni (1969); Schouten (1992).
General distribution: Mediterranean–Iranian. Sothern Europe, Northern Africa, Ukraine, Sudan, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Bahrein, Oman, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan. The species was also recorded in the UK ( Sharpe & Manning 2006).
Distribution in Israel: All over Mediterranean part, Jordan Valley, Dead Sea area.
Period of flight in Israel: March–September.
Host plants: Unknown.
