General distribution: Mediterranean–Turanian. South Europe, Tunisia, Jordan, Syria, Iran, Transcaucasia and Turkmenstan.

Distribution in Israel: All over Mediterranean part.

Period of flight in Israel: May–October.

Host plants: Various Poaceae species, pest of maize.
