Diagnosis
Nymph: Lateral margin of anterior projection of head without indentation; posterior margin of abdominal terga with spines* ( Fig. 2M); lateral margin of abdominal terga with fine, simple setae ( Fig. 2M); abdominal posterolateral projections present on segments IV–IX ( Fig. 2M); outer lamella of gill IV asymmetric* ( Fig. 2V); inner margin of outer lamella of gill IV without long, simple setae ( Fig. 2V); inner lamella of gill IV poorly developed, reaching up to half length of outer lamella* ( Fig. 2V); caudal filaments with spine-like setae*.
Imago: Veins R3 and IRS of front wing absent*; vein MA bifurcates after basal third of front wing*; vein IMP of front wing spectral*; spectral cross veins of front wing present*; penis lobe without proximal sclerotized process ( Fig. 4I).

Afrotropical and Madagascan regions.
