Note 20. Fulgenta lindneri and Fulgenta ponti are both only known from the holotype females. MacGowan (2017: 223) stated “ Lamprolonchaea or Fulgenta species described from females prove a difficult challenge as at present in almost all cases species level characters are only known for males. It has not been possible to associate these two females with a corresponding male and it is probable that DNA analysis will be required to resolve the situation. It is quite possible that two of the new species described in this paper will in time be found to be junior synonyms of these two previously described species”.
