Distribution: Egypt, Iraq, Israel ( Fig. 52), tropical Africa ( Montandon 1896; Linnavuori 1960, 1971; Voelker 1966, 1968; Tawfik et al. 1978; Polhemus 1995 a).
Previous records from Israel: Linnavuori (1960: 51) reported this species from the HaHula Nature Reserve.
Phenology in Israel: Adults were collected in February, April, May, July, August and October.
