Type. Tasmania. Holotype male of tasmani, Launceston, Lea , in BMNH, type seen .

Other material examined. South Australia. 1 Female, Adelaide , xii.1884 ; 1 Female, Port Lincoln, Lea ; 1 Male, Beachport , 16.iv.1979, G. Napier; all SAM . Western Australia. 1 Male, Pioneer Rock , 70 km south of Balladonia, 5.xii.1974, S. Barker, C. huegeliana ; 1 Male, Dongarra , 6–19.ix.1935, R. E. Turner; both WAM .

Description. Described by Gross (1976). The following additional information is given. Male genitalia. Pygophore: ventral margin U-shaped with 2 small projections, 1 on either side of a central emargination; dorsal margin evenly arched, bearing 2 small heavily sclerotised teeth, 1 on each side on inner surface. Proctiger oblong. Claspers hook-shaped with no stem, basal area plate-like with a number of setae. Aedeagus. Theca small vasiform. Conjunctival appendages absent. One pair of plate-like median penial lobes. Ejaculatory duct small, narrow, not projecting beyond median penial lobes.
