Type material. Holotype ♀ ( CBEE), CHINA: Shaanxi Province: Hanzhong City, Mian County, Dingjun Mountain , 33.1133°N, 106.6661°E, elevation: 803 m, 26.Ⅰ.2023, H.C. Hu & K. Yu leg. GoogleMaps ; Paratype: ♀ ( CBEE), same data as holotype GoogleMaps .
Etymology. The specific name is derived from the type locality, Shaanxi Province; adjective.
Diagnosis. Females of Baiyuerius shaanensis sp. nov. resemble those of B. imitatus sp. nov., and can be easily distinguished from the latter, see in diagnosis of B. imitates sp. nov. for detailed statement.
Description. Female holotype ( Fig. 16 View FIGURE 16 ). Carapace dark brown. Cervical and radial groove distinct. Cephalic region dark and extremely raised, lateral margin with distinct furrows. Chelicerae with three promarginal teeth and two postmarginal teeth, condyle red. Sternum longer than wide. Abdomen gray, with 6 chevron-shaped patterns, covered by hairs. Legs reddish brown, metatarsi and tarsi of the first and second legs with normal hairs. Total length 12.56. Carapace 6.56 long, 4.41 wide, cephalic region 3.88 wide. Abdomen 6.94 long, 5.09 wide. Eye size and interdistance: AME 0.25, ALE 0.30, PME 0.27, PLE 0.33; AME–AME 0.08, AME–ALE 0.19, AME–PME 0.21, ALE–PLE 0.05, PME–PME 0.11, PME–PLE 0.39. Leg measurements: I 14.60 (4.25, 1.78, 3.66, 3.27, 1.92), II 12.92 (3.77, 1.70, 3.12, 2.99, 1.79), III 10.39 (3.11, 1.48, 2.19, 2.46, 1.42), IV 14.98 (4.44, 1.73, 3.31, 3.89, 1.71).
Epigyne ( Fig. 15A View FIGURE 15 ). Epigynal teeth long. Atrium guitar-pick-shaped. Epigynal pocket large and sclerotized, with furrows on surface, anterior margin sclerotized. Posterior epigynal sclerite distinct. Hoods situated laterally of atrium. Copulatory opening situated centrally.
Internal genitalia ( Fig. 15B View FIGURE 15 ). Copulatory ducts short, with elongate and curved blind sacs. Spermathecae small, with the posterior part most close to each other, spermathecal heads nearly invisible. Fertilization ducts short, situated posteriorly.
