Material examined: 1♂ Latrun, 27.iii.1968, [no collector]; 1♀ Ein Gedi, 25.iii.1968, [no collector]; 2♂ Holon, 15.iv.1968, A. Freidberg .

Distribution: Southern Europe, Transcaucasia, Middle East including Israel, Afghanistan and Central Asia ( Amsel 1935 a; Gielis 2003).

Host plants: Amsel (1935 a: 258) noted that the moths “...im März aus Podonosma syriaca [ Podonosma orientalis (L.) Feinbrun ( Boraginaceae )] häufig aufgescheucht.” This host plant was not listed by Gielis (2003) for S. siceliota .
