Note. The male genitalia of the species display remarkable variability in the length and width of the distal saccular process, and length and the degree of the curvature of the vesica even within the same population (e.g., see figs 108, 109).
Diagnosis. The forewing length is 11.0–12.0 mm in males and 13.0 mm in the female. Teulisna tubularis sp. n. is externally very similar to T. obliquistria , T. subtilis sp. n. and T. variabilis sp. n. also occurring in Northern Thailand and the reliable identification requires the examination of the genitalia structures. Compared to the sympatric T. obliquistria , T. tubularis sp. n. has a slightly narrower forewing with a less prominent costal protrusion. The male genitalia of the new species differ from the similar congeners in the tubular and upcurved vesica. In the female genitalia of T. tubularis sp. n., the narrow corpus bursae with a heavily gelatinous posterior section bearing irregular sclerotisations, is diagnostic.
Distribution. The new species is currently known from Northern Thailand (Mae Hong Son, Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Lampang, and Loei Provinces). The record of ‘ Teulisna protuberans ’ from Laos by Bucsek (2020) probably belongs to T. tubularis sp. n. but requires confirmation.
Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the tubular vesica of the new species. The name is an adjective in apposition to the generic name.
