Type material. Holotype ( Figs 36 View Figures 34–48 , 114 View Figures 114–116 ): male, “ 29-VII-2017 | Xizang, Pailong [in Chinese ] | 2030m ” / “leg. Si-yao Huang | Shu-qin Ji, Fu-hong Wei | & Shi-fang Mo” / [gen. slide No.] “XZTe01” ( SCAU).

Paratypes. CONTINENTAL CHINA: 1 female, same data as in holotype, gen. slide No.: XZTe02 (prepared by Huang ) ( SCAU); 1 male, data as previous but 30.vii.2017 ( SCAU) .

Diagnosis. The forewing length is 10.5 mm in males and 12.0 mm in the female. Teulisna sayinyingpo sp. n. is externally vaguely reminiscent of T. khasiana sp. n. with its short costal protrusion of the forewing, but can be easily distinguished by the smaller size, the less elongate forewing with brown ground colour (vs. reddish-brown in T. khasiana sp. n.), and the intense fuscous suffusion on the hindwing. The male genitalia of T. sayinyingpo sp. n. are most similar to the Thai T. subtilis sp. n. but differ in the markedly narrower dorsal section of the valva, the proximally narrower and apically rounded distal saccular process (it is apically pointed in the congener), the shorter phallus with a longer coecum, the broader, semiglobular medial diverticulum bearing a band-shaped cluster of short spines, and the narrower distal diverticulum bearing a shorter and considerably thinner, spike-shaped terminal cornutus, which is robust and spearhead-shaped in T. subtilis sp. n. As the female of T. subtilis sp. n. is unknown, the female genitalia of T. sayinyingpo sp. n. were compared to T. protuberans instead, from which the new species differs in the 7th abdominal sternite having subostial lobes, the markedly shorter and narrower corpus bursae, which is medially curved sideways, bears heavier spinulose scobination and lacks the irregular postero-lateral gelatinous rugose protrusions.

Distribution. The new species is currently known only from its type locality in the south-east of the Tibet Autonomous Region (Xizang) of China.

Etymology. Sa Yi Nyingpo is the Tibetan name for Kṣitigarbha, one of the four principal bodhisattvas in East Asian Buddhism. The name is a noun in the nominative singular.
