Type material. Holotype ( Figs 38 View Figures 34–48 , 115 View Figures 114–116 ): male, “Lao-NE [NE Laos], Hua Phan [Huaphanh] prov., | 20°12.328'N 104°00.621'E, | Phu Phan Mt., | 17.v.–3.vi.2007, ~ 1750m, | Vít. Kubáň leg.” / “Slide | AV7881 ♂ | A. Volynkin ” ( MWM / ZSM, ex CKC). GoogleMaps
Paratypes. LAOS: 1 male, same data as in holotype, gen. slide No.: AV7882 ♂ ( CKC) ; THAILAND: 2 males, Changwat [Province] Chiang Mai, 20 km NW of Sop Kha, 2 km S of Kop Dong , 1800m, 13.ix.1999, A. Szabó & Z. Czere leg., gen. slide No.: ZSM Arct. 2021 - 349♂ ( MWM / ZSM) .
Diagnosis. The forewing length is 12.0 mm in males. Teulisna subtilis sp. n. is superficially very similar to T. tubularis sp. n. and the identification requires the examination of the genitalia structures. The male genitalia of T. subtilis sp. n. are most similar to the externally rather dissimilar T. sayinyingpo sp. n. and the detailed comparison is provided above in the diagnosis of the latter species. Compared to T. tubularis sp. n., the male genitalia of T. subtilis sp. n. have a markedly shorter pseudoampulla, a narrower phallus, a longer, tubular and upcurved basal section of the vesica (it is distally directed in the similar congener), the short and clavate medial diverticulum lacking the terminal cornutus and with a vesica ejaculatorius originating laterally, and a narrower and shorter distal diverticulum bearing a spearhead-shaped terminal cornutus, which is thorn-shaped in the similar congener.
The female is unknown.
Distribution. The new species is currently known from Northern Laos (Huaphanh Province) and Northern Thailand (Chiang Mai Province).
Etymology. The specific epithet is a Latin adjective meaning ‘subtle’ and refers to the narrow vesica of the new species.
