( Figs 68, 69 View Figures 64–77 , 133 View Figures 132–134 , 171 View Figures 170–173 )

Type material. Holotype ( Figs 68 View Figures 64–77 , 133 View Figures 132–134 ): male, [N Myanmar, Kachin State, Myitkyina District ] “Upper Burma: | Htawgaw. A.E.Swann. [leg.] | B.M. 1923–347.” / QR-code label with unique ID “ NHMUK010292599 About NHMUK ” ( NHMUK).

Additional material. INDIA: 1 female , [Meghalaya, Khasi Hills] Khasis, Nat. Coll. / Doncaster private coll., Purch. 1927, gen. slide No.: AV7561 ♀ ( OUMNH) .

Note. The single female specimen from Khasi Hills (NE India, Meghalaya) ( Fig. 69 View Figures 64–77 ) has the female genitalia ( Fig. 171 View Figures 170–173 ) similar to T. brevis sp. n., which is closely related to T. swanni sp. n. For this reason, the specimen is treated herein as a possible female of T. swanni sp. n.

Diagnosis. The forewing length is 14.0 mm in the male holotype and 15.0 mm in the possible female. Teulisna swanni sp. n. is externally indistinguishable from the allopatric T. brevis sp. n. and is distinguished only by the genitalia structures. The male genital capsules of the two species are very similar but T. swanni sp. n. has a somewhat thicker pseudoampulla than in T. brevis sp. n. The phallus of T. swanni sp. n. is proximally broader and markedly shorter than in T. brevis sp. n. The main differences between the species are found in the vesica structures: compared to T. brevis sp. n., T. swanni sp. n. has a utricular subbasal diverticulum, a longer main chamber of the vesica, a somewhat shorter medial diverticulum, and a larger terminal cornutus in the distal diverticulum. In the female genitalia, the possible female of T. swanni sp. n. differs from T. brevis sp. n. in the broader and considerably shorter postvaginal plate, the narrower ductus bursae, and the somewhat more elongate, posteriorly broader and anteriorly more finely scobinate corpus bursae.

Distribution. The new species is known from Northern Myanmar (Kachin State) and possibly from Northeast India (Meghalaya).

Etymology. The species is named after Captain Arthur E. Swann, who collected not only the holotype of the new species but numerous other Heterocera in northern Myanmar in 1921–1923. The name is a noun in the genitive case.
