Type material. Holotype ( Figs 74 View Figures 64–77 , 136 View Figures 135–138 ): male, “ Taiwan, Prov. Taoyuan, | Ming Chyr Forest Recreation | Area , 1160m, 17–18. IV. 1997. | leg. Gy.Fábián & S. T.Kovács | coll.: Museum Witt ” / “Slide | ZSM Arct. | 2021- 353♂ | A. Volynkin ” ( MWM / ZSM).
Paratypes. TAIWAN ISLAND: 1 male, 1 female, same data as in holotype, gen. slide No.: ZSM Arct. 2021 - 456♀ ( MWM / ZSM) ; 1 male, Ilan Co., Fu Shan Bot. Garden, LTER site, 700m, 24°45'13''N 121°35'39''E, 8–9.iv.1997, L. Peregovits & A. Kun leg., gen. slide No.: ZSM GoogleMaps Arct. 2021 - 455♂ ( MWM / ZSM) .
Diagnosis. The forewing length is 13.5 mm in males and 14.5 mm in the female. Teulisna mingchyra sp. n. is externally distinguished from the similar T. spatula sp. n. by the smaller size, the straighter proximal half of the forewing costal margin (it is somewhat concave in T. spatula sp. n.), the shorter medial costal protrusion of the forewing, the more unicolorous and ochreous forewing ground colour, the markedly smaller proximal costal spot of the forewing, and the paler hindwing only slightly suffused with grey at the apex whereas in T. spatula sp. n., it is evenly suffused with grey medially and distally. The male genital capsule of T. mingchyra sp. n. differs from T. spatula sp. n. in the thicker and more strongly downcurved uncus, the distally broader valva, and the distally narrower distal saccular process. The phallus of T. mingchyra sp. n. is slightly broader than in T. spatula sp. n. The vesicae of the two species are similar but in T. mingchyra sp. n., the medial lateral diverticulum is longer, the distal diverticulum is broader, and the terminal cornutus is thicker than the corresponding structures of T. spatula sp. n. Compared to T. spatula sp. n., the female genitalia of T. mingchyra sp. n. have a longer ductus bursae, a narrower posterior sclerotised section of the corpus bursae lacking the ventral elliptical dilation, and a longer appendix bursae with a broader distal section. Additionally, the subostial depression of the 7 th abdominal sternite of T. mingchyra sp. n. is broad V-shaped whereas it is narrower, somewhat deeper and U-shaped in T. spatula sp. n.
Distribution. The new species is endemic to Taiwan Island (Taoyuan and Ilan Counties).
Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Ming Chyr Forest, where the new species is found. The name is a noun in the nominative singular.
