Ilema tricolor Wileman, 1911 , The Entomologist, 44: 109 (Type locality: [ Taiwan, Nantou County, Mt. Lantashan] “ Rantaizan (7500 ft.)”).

Type material examined. Holotype (by monotypy) ( Fig. 78 View Figures 78–91 ): male, “ Rantaizan , | ♂ Formosa. | 7,300 ft. | 13.V.1909. | A.E. Wileman. ” / “542 A.F” / “ Ilema | tricolor | sp. n. | Type ♂ ” / round label with red margin “Type” / QR-code label with unique ID “ NHMUK010401724 About NHMUK ” ( NHMUK).

Diagnosis. The forewing length is 13.0 mm in males. Teulisna tricolor is externally distinct from similar congeners in its unusual contrast wing colouration with the forewing having a rusty brown proximal and dark fuscous distal sections, while the hindwing is pale creamy with a dark fuscous outer fascia. The male genitalia of T. tricolor are similar to T. plica sp. n. and the detailed comparison is provided above in the diagnosis of the latter species.

The female is unknown.

Distribution. The species is endemic to Taiwan Island and is currently known only from its type locality in Nantou County.
