Teulisna (Poikilothosia) pallida ( Moore, 1878) View in CoL
( Figs 82, 83 View Figures 78–91 , 140 View Figures 139–141 , 177 View Figures 174–177 )
Cossa pallida Moore, 1878 View in CoL , Proceedings of the general meetings for scientific business of the Zoological Society of London, 1878: 21 (Type locality (determined by the neotype designation): [N India, Himachal Pradesh, Naini Valley ] “Indien, UP, Nainital , 2000m ”).
Type material examined. Neotype (designated herein) ( Figs 82 View Figures 78–91 , 140 View Figures 139–141 ): male, “ Indien U[ttar]P[radesh], Kumaon | Nainital [Naini Valley] 2000m | 13.VII.1984 | leg. W.Thomas ” / “Slide | ZSM Arct. | 2021- 367♂ | A. Volynkin ” ( MWM / ZSM).
Additional material examined. INDIA: 15 males, 4 females, same data as neotype, gen. slide No.: ZSM Arct. 2021 - 371♀ (prepared by Volynkin ) ( MWM / ZSM) ; 2 males, 1 female, Dalhousie , 92- 98, Harford Coll., 6/91 ( NHMUK) ; 1 female, Kangra , 83-26 ( NHMUK) ; NEPAL: 1 male, 2835m, Kalinchok Mt. , 6 km NNE Muldi (Murre), 27.vi.1997, M. Hreblay & K. Csak leg., gen. slide No.: ZSM Arct. 2021 - 368♂ (prepared by Volynkin ) ( MWM / ZSM) .
Note. The species has been described on the basis of the unspecified number of males held in F. Moore collection ( Moore 1878). Unfortunately, no syntypes have been located in the NHMUK where the F. Moore collection is currently housed, and the type material of the species is apparently lost. In order to stabilise the nomenclature, the male specimen matching the original description and originating from the same state of India, Himachal Pradesh is herein designated as neotype .
Diagnosis. The forewing length is 13.5–14.5 mm in males and 14.0–15.0 mm in females. The detailed comparison with the most similar T. ganesha is provided below in the diagnosis of the latter species.
Distribution. The species is currently known from North India (Himachal Pradesh) ( Moore 1878; Hampson 1900) and Nepal ( Volynkin 2023c).
