Triplaris melaenodendron (Bertol.) Standl. & Steyerm. (1943: 5) subsp. mutisiana Dugand , nom. nud., in sched.
Notes:— Brandbyge (1986) acknowledged that Dugand labeled a number of specimens at US with this epithet, and indicated that he thought it to be part of the Triplaris melaenodendron – T. colombiana group of plants. Brandbyge never annotated the specimen that Dugand considered the holotype ( US 3223983), but Brandbyge (1986) did indicate that he thought T. melaenodendron subsp. mutisiana resembled T. colombiana ( T. melaenodendron subsp. colombiana ). To our knowledge, neither Dugand nor Brandbyge ever published this name or its description.
