Notes:— Dugand labeled a number of specimens at US with this name ( US 3224050, US 3224051, US 3224054). Two of them ( US 3224050 and US 3224051) have determinations reading “ TYPE: Triplaris setosa Rusby var. deficiens Dugand , nova”. We were unable to locate a publication and description of this name and species concept. Brandbyge (1986) included these specimens in his concept of T. setosa var. setosa (See T. setosa above).
