Notes:— Brandbyge (1986) lists this as a nomen nudum. The name appears in Flora Brasiliensis (1855) , along with others, as synonymous with Ruprechtia laurifolia . Meisner (1855) gives no description of the plant but does cite a specimen along with the name “Schott. n. 4561. in Herb. Mus. Vindob.” We were unable to locate this specimen.
