Description:— Pileus 5.2 cm diam., obtuse to convex, surface dry, squarrose covered with silky hairs, margin serrate, hairy, white, extending 3–4 mm beyond lamellae. Context shiny white. Lamellae free, crowded, ventricose, light pink (2.5YR7/8), margin entire, lamellulae frequent, of variable lengths. Stipe 4.7 × 0.6 cm, central, equal to slightly broadened towards base, often curved, fibrillose, minutely pubescent, white. Volva saccate, cartilaginous, irregularly lobed, with woolly outer surface, light brown (10YR5/8) with brown (2.5YR4/6) patches. Annulus absent.
Basidiospores [20/1/1] (7.5)7.6–8.9(9.4) × (5.4)6.1–6.3(6.5) µm, avl × avw = 8.2 × 6.2 μm, Q = 1.3–1.5, avQ = 1.3, broadly ellipsoid to ellipsoid, smooth, thin-walled, guttulate, with prominent apiculus, inamyloid, hyaline in 5 % KOH. Basidia (43.1)44.3–63.1(65.7) × (15.4)16.1–17.2(18.5) µm, clavate, with 2–4 sterigmata, thick-walled. Cheilocystidia (37.6)38.1–44.9(48.1) × (12.8)13.1–15.9(17.1) µm, clavate to lageniform, fusiform, utriform. Pleurocystidia (33.1)38.7–43.5(45.4) × (16.7)17.9–19.4(20.6) µm, fusiform, utriform, rarely flexuous, abundant. Pileipellis a cutis made up of septate hyphae (4.5)5.3–6.4(6.6) µm diam. without clamp connections. Stipitipellis hyphae (4.8)5.1–5.9(6.1) µm diam., septate, branched. Clamp connections absent. All tissues hyaline and colorless in 5 % KOH.
