Distribution: Endemic to New Guinea ( Mansfeld, 1925).
Notes: The original type collection of M. hollrungiana from Berlin herbarium ( B) was not found and assumed lost during the Second World War. Apparently, there is no other associated specimens that can be chosen as a neotype .
