Distribution: Southern Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia ( Maxwell, 1978).
Notes: Renner et al. (2001) included M. penduliflora as a synonym of M. alpestris . Both species are actually morphologically different and following Maxwell (1978), M. penduliflora is accepted as different species from M. alpestris here.
