Physocephala brevipennis Camras, 1962

Primary type material examined. ♂ holotype of Physocephala brevipennis Camras, 1962 : (1) “Ngutu, / Zulu- land / III-21-1951 / A. L. Capener ”; (2) “ Physocephala / brevipennis / Camras”; (3) “ Holotype ♂ / Physocephala / brevipennis / Camras”; (4) “FMNHINS / 3130492 / Field Museum / pinned”; coll. FMNH .

The first impression when looking at this strange speci- men is that it is perhaps an aberrant example of Physocephala antiqua with exceedingly shortened wings. Until

further material becomes available, however, we have re- tained this taxon.
