BO: Marazzi 2014 [Okavango Delta].— MO: Rino 1969 [Inhambane Province: Morrumbene, culture from material collected in a small pond, 30 August 1967, S. Rino s.n.], as Phacus longicauda (Ehrenberg) Dujardin ).

Note. In Rino (1969) the illustration in Pl. 4 fig. 15 is of P. elegans Pochmann ; the species is very characteristic due to its asymmetrical cell.
