Rino 366].— SA: Fritsch 1918 [Western Cape Province, Orangezicht (now Oranjezicht, Cape Town suburb) above Cape Town, mountain spring in a hollow, forming a small pond, thickly overgrown with a waterweed, 91 m a.s.l., 24 March 1908, leg. E.P. Phillips], as Phacus brevicaudata (G.A.Klebs) Lemmermann ; Huber-Pestalozzi 1929 [Western Cape Province, pool near Caledon, 26 September 1926; Mpumalanga Province, Lake Chrissie, 6 November 1926; Gauteng Province, Bon Accord Dam near Onderstepoort, 14 November 1926], as Phacus brevicaudata (G.A.Klebs) Lemmermann ; Huber-Pestalozzi 1930 [Western Cape Province, Knysna forest, Concordia Pool, a swamp about 30 m in diameter in a trough-shaped depression next to the road, overgrown with numerous hydrophytes, leg. G. Huber-Pestalozzi, 8 October 1926].— B Marazzi 2014 [Okavango Delta].

Note. In Rino (1969: Pl. 4, fig. 9-10) the illustrations do not resemble P. curvicauda , it is rather P. acuminatus -like taxa.
