MO: Rino 1969 [Inhambane Province: Vilanculos, near Inhasoro, in temporary ponds, rare, 20 November 1968, J. Rino 357], as Trachelomonas stokesii Dreżepolski emend. Deflandre ; [Maputo Province: Namaacha, small puddle in the bed of an almost dry stream, rare, 15 October 1968, J. Rino 340], as Trachelomonas stokesii Dreżepolski emend. Deflandre ].— ZA: Thomasson 1960 [Bangweulu area: Lake Chifunabuli/Chifunauli (February 1957)], as Trachelomonas stokesii .
Note. The illustration in Rino (1969: Pl. 5, fig. 10) is T. borodiniana , not T. stokesii Dreżepolski. In Thomasson (1960) there are no illustrations or descriptions present, and we also presume that this euglenid is T. borodiniana .
