Type material. Holotype ♀: CHINA: Hunan Province: Huaihua City, Yuanling County, Jiemuxi Township , Xuezongxi Village , 28.880123°N, 110.434971°E, 436 m, 10 Aug. 2017, Xian-Jin Peng, Jin-Xin Liu, Tian Tian and Gu-Chun Zhou leg. (JMX-1745). GoogleMaps

Etymology. The specific epithet derived from the type locality, the Jiemuxi Township.

Diagnosis. This new species is most similar to Draconarius lutulentus ( Wang et al., 1990) in the strongly convoluted spermathecae and long spermathecal stalks, but can be distinguished by: 1) spermathecal base with a distinct curvature in D. jiemuxiensis sp. nov. ( Fig. 3D View FIGURE 3 ), while without distinct curvature in D. lutulentus ( Wang 2003: figs 39B, 40B, 40F); 2) spermathecal heads invisible in D. jiemuxiensis sp. nov. ( Fig. 3D View FIGURE 3 ), while visible in D. lutulentus ( Wang 2003: figs 40B, 40F).

Description. Female (holotype) ( Fig. 3A, B View FIGURE 3 ). Total length 7.45; carapace 3.46 long, 2.48 wide; clypeus 0.20 high. Abdomen 3.71 long, 2.73 wide. Carapace pale yellow, with dark longitudinal bands on both sides. Fovea longitudinal, radial and cervical grooves distinct. Eye sizes and interdistances:AME 0.14, ALE 0.15, PME 0.13, PLE 0.14; AME–AME 0.09, AME–ALE 0.10, PME–PME 0.16, PME–PLE 0.22. Chelicerae brown, with 3 promarginal teeth and 3 retromarginal teeth. Endites and labium yellow brown, distal end pale yellow with dark setae. Sternum yellow brown. Legs yellow brown. Measurements of legs: I, 11.23 (3.09, 4.07, 2.77, 1.30); II, 10.12 (2.78, 3.55, 2.45, 1.34); III, 9.24 (2.72, 2.97, 2.35, 1.20); IV, 11.46 (3.18, 3.80, 3.14, 1.34). Leg formula: 4123. Abdominal dorsum ash black, anterior portion with lighter patch, posterior portion with lighter herring-bones; venter ash black, with light spots on the sides.

Epigyne ( Fig. 3C, D View FIGURE 3 ). With 2 triangular teeth on the medial sides of epigyne, pointing to center. Hoods shallow. Atrium oval, located in posterior area of epigyne. Copulatory openings vaulted, located at the lateral margin of the atrium. Copulatory ducts thick and C-shaped, looped around spermathecal stalks. Spermathecae wrinkled and Cshape, spermathecal heads invisible. Fertilization duct digitiform.

Male. Unknown.
