Leaves 2—10(— 15) cm; lamina with a long petiole, simple, trilobed, trifoliolate orpinnate, with 2 orrarely 3-4 pairs of obovate or roundish, entire pinnae with rounded (rarely lobed) apex. N. & C. Europe from 66° N. southwards, extending to C. France, the Italian Alps and C. Jugoslavia. Au Be Co Cz Da Fe Ga He Is It Ju No Po Rs (N, B, C) Su.
