Like 33 but plant usually with a short, greyish pubescence; inflorescence dense, branches more or less strict, usually with pedicels shorter than sepals (rarely some pedicels up to 3 times as long as sepals); sepals more sharply acute; petals more or less equalling sepals; capsule slightly shorter than sepals. Stony places on mountains. • Balkan peninsula from 39° 30' N. northwards , mainly in the west. Al Gr Ju.

Very variable in habit, but probably always distinguishable from 33 by the longer petals and shorter capsules.
