Procumbent perennial. Leaves opposite, ovate-cordate, finely papillose, flat, not glaucous. Flowers axillary and terminal, pedunculate. Petals purple. Naturalized in S. Europe. [Az Ga Hs It Lu.] (5. Africa.)
