Mat-forming perennial with ascending glandular-pubescent stems up to 15 cm. Leaves pubescent, oblong-lanceolate to linear. Inflorescence 1- to 3-flowered. Petals usually pale pink above, red beneath; claw exserted; coronal scales small, truncate. Capsule scabrid, equalling the glabrous carpophore. Mountain rocks. • W. Alps; Italy (Alpi Apuane and C.
