Stems 30-100 cm, stout, simple, patent-pilose. Leaves palmately 5- to 7-fid or -lobed, pubescent on both surfaces with mixed very short and longer hairs; segments entire or 3-lobed, with ovate-lanceolate, or oblong, acute lobes. Flowers deep blue. Perianth-segments 13- 20 mm. Limb of lateral honey-leaves gradually narrowed into claw. Follicles 8-11 mm wide, inflated. Mediterranean region.
