Variable. Stems 15-80 cm, with long sparse hairs below, densely pubescent above. Basal leaves 2-ternate; leaflets 2- to 3-fid, subglabrous. Flowers nodding, bright blue. Perianth-segments 30—45 x 14-22 mm; limb of honey-leaf 14-17 x 8-11 mm; spur 18-25 x 6-7 mm, straight to curved. Follicles 20-28 mm; styles 6-7 mm. 9 Alps, N. Appennini. Au Ga He It.
