Perennial 8- 30 cm. Basal leaves ovate-lanceolate; cauline amplexicaul. Pedicels glabrous, 1 - to several-flowered. Flowers c. 20 mm in diameter, white. Sepals glabrous, greenish, caducous. Honeyleaves obovate-orbicular. Achenes inflated, strongly veined; beak curved. Pyrenees, and mountains of N. Spain. Ga Hs.
