Updated checklist of Stactobiinae species from Brazil
Previously, only 12 species of Stactobiinae were known in Brazil ( Santos 2023). Of these, four species are endemic to four Brazilian biomes: Amazon rainforest ( F. carajas , F. manauara Santos & Nessimian 2009 , and F. serrana ), one is endemic to the Caatinga ( F. harrisi Souza, Santos, & Takiya 2016 ), and two are endemic to the Cerrado ( F. pallida Souza, Santos, & Takiya 2016 and O. angelus ). Now that number has increased to 15 species, including O. costae sp. nov. a species endemic to the Amazon rainforest, F. quiteriae sp. nov. endemic to the Caatinga, and F. angrisanoae sp. nov. endemic to the Cerrado ( Table 1 View TABLE 1 ).
New records for Brazil provided by our study are indicated in bold in the table of species distributions ( Table 1 View TABLE 1 ).
