1. Dohrniphora gracilisetis sp. n. ( Figs. 1A–F View FIGURE 1 )
Male. Frons dark brown, sub-shining, scattered with 20–30 setulae. First row of setae convex, lower interfrontal setae further from either is to a lower fronto-orbital seta. Second row of setae straight, upper interfrontal setae further from either is to an upper fronto-orbital seta. Postpedicel brown, globose, slightly pointed; arista pre-apical, with microtrichia. Palpus yellow, slender, 3 times as long as its width, with 5 setae apically and some short setulae ventrally. Scutum and pleuron dark brown. Scutellum dark brown, with 2 setae and 2 short setulae. Wing length 2.30 mm. Costal index 0.52, costal ratios 7.53: 2.31: 1, costal cilia length 0.04 mm. Vein brown and membrane whitish gray. Halter whitish yellow. Legs yellow. Fore tibia with 5 dorsal setae, of which the upmost is longest; fore tarsus slender. Dorsal setal palisade of mid tibia extends shorter than 1/2 (0.45) of its length. Hind tibia without anterodorsal setae on basal half. Posterior face of hind femur with 15 long and slender peglike setae arranged in a cluster, without scattered setulae on dorsal part and with 1 dorsal inner-edge setula. Abdominal tergites uniformly brown; venter slightly brown. Terminalia brown. Cerci and proctiger whitish yellow.
Female. Unknown.
Etymology. The specific name is derived from Latin words gracilis (slender) and setis (seta), indicating the character of peglike setae on posterior face of hind femur.
Specimen examined. Holotype, ♂, Jiangxi, Jiulong National Nature Reserve , 7.VI.2020, Zhiqiang Li.
Distribution. Jiangxi.
Remarks. In the key to Chinese male Dohrniphora Dahl ( Liu 2015) , the new species runs to couplet 8, where neither option applies, due to the difference of arrangement of the peglike setae of hind femur. When the character of dorsal inner-edge setula of posterior face of hind femur is ignored, the species runs to couplet 16, it differs from D. insulana Liu , by 2 setae and 2 short setulae on scutellum, long and slender peglike setae of hind femur; it can be distinguished from D. cespitula Liu , by shorter dorsal palisade of mid tibia and long and slender peglike setae of hind femur. In the Key to Dohrniphora males of the Australasian and Oriental Regions ( Disney 1990), the species runs to 39, lead 1 to D. eilogoensis Disney, 1990 , but it differs by the characters of peglike setae and the dorsal inner edge of hind femur.
