Neotype (Renvoize in Cafferty & al. in Taxon 49: 244. 2000): Sri Lanka. Sabaragamuwa Province, Ratnagsura District, 22 Oct 1974, Davidse 7871 (K; iso- MO).

Current name: Sacciolepis indica (L.) Chase View in CoL View at ENA ( Poaceae ).

Note: Specific epithet corrected to “indicum” [sic] from “spicata” in Errata of Sp. Pl. 2: 1231 (1753).
