Current name: Carex muricata L. ( Cyperaceae ).

Note: A number of authors, including Soó (in Feddes Repert. 83: 148. 1972), have treated this as a nomen confusum, and Lambinon (in Taxon 30: 362. 1981) proposed the formal rejection of the name. However, the Committee for Spermatophyta (in Taxon 35: 558. 1986) declined to support the proposal.
