Anual. Tallos c. 20 cm, erectos o ascendentes, foliosos hasta la parte superior. Racimo de hasta 80 flores, elipsoidal o cilíndrico. Brácteas del tamaño de los pedicelos. Flores 7-8 mm, rosadas, que se tornan rojas después de la fecundación, con un margen amarillo en el pétalo superior. Estigma con un apéndice arqueado-ascendente, geniculado en el ápice. Pedicelos fructíferos reflejos
