Pachyrhynchus yoshitakeorum Yoshitake, Bollino & Sandel, 2019 View in CoL

We have also examined a series of specimens from Cebu of a Pachyrhynchus species related to Pachyrhynchus speciosus Waterhouse, 1841 and its relatives. Its morphology and genitalia suggested it is Pachyrhynchus yoshitakeorum originally described from Bohol. Confirmation that it is this taxon was obtained by examining the everted endophallus, identical to that of the topotypical Bohol specimens. The species had never been previously recorded on the island of Cebu.
