Material. Three carapaces.
Dimensions. L: 0.65 mm, H: 0.37 mm, W: 0.25 mm.
Description. Small size carapace with round-triangle shape in lateral view. Maximum height at mid-length, maximum length at 2/3 of maximum height, maximum width at mid-length. LV> RV; LV overlapping RV along all margins. Both anterior and posterior margin rounded and infracurvate, and with rounded cardinal angles. Dorsal margin rounded arch, sloping towards both anterior and posterior margins. Ventral margin nearly straight or slightly convex. Surface smooth.
Remarks. The studied specimens closely resemble some Lycopterocypris species described by Ye et al. (2002), such as L. triangularis Ye (in DOFEAD 1976), L. grandis Ye (in DOFEAD 1976), and L. pyriformis Ye (in DOFEAD 1976). However, Lycopterocypris sp. is shorter and has a more rounded dorsal margin. These differences might indicate intraspecific variation, and additional material is needed to clarify this.
