Notes: The hostplant is Clematis spp. ( Taeger et al., 1998). At Skoklefall, larvae of E. ventralis was collected in numbers on cultivated Clematis alpina . Cultivated Clematis spp. is common in gardens. C. alpina is natural, but very rare in Norway. Only known from some river-vallyes in Gudbrandsdalen, Oppland. An interesting feature of the Norwegian records is the presense of males. In Europa E. ventralis is a parthogenetic species ( Müller et al. 2004).
