Distribution in India. Sikkim ( Dudgeon 1900), Uttarakhand ( Smetacek 2008), Kerala ( Sondhi et al. 2018, Valappil 2020), West Bengal ( Chandra et al. 2019), Maharashtra ( Das et al. 2020), Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya (Sondhi et al. 2025). Global records. Myanmar ( Hering 1931), Taiwan ( Matsumura 1931), Nepal ( Yoshimoto 1993, 1994), China ( Wu & Fang 2009a), Bhutan ( Gielis et al. 2022).
Remarks. The third subspecies, Scopelodes venosa bicolor is known from China, Myanmar, northern Thailand, Vietnam & Laos ( Solovyev & Giusti 2017).
