Leaves longer or shorter than the scape, margins mostly glabrous, rarely with papillae. Cylindrical or oval-ovoid inflorescence. flower rarely equal or longer than pedicels. Perianth tubular-campanulate, white, blue, purple to dark purple or brown with or without streaks on the lobes. Purple or yellow anthers. Capsule valves ellipsoid.
