Type locality: —“Harbour at Nagasaki ”, Nagasaki, Japan
Description and remarks: —Specimens have one or multiple axes growing from a discoid holdfast. The primary and secondary branches are compressed with leaves that are also compressed with faint midribs, sometimes with bifurcate tips. The vesicles are globose to obovoid, attached to stalks 4–5 mm long. This species is common in mid-late spring along sheltered areas of Yokoura and in Naname.
