Diagnosis. Male adults have rather unicolorous body. In the male genitalia, species of the nominate subgenus are characterised by the condition of the distal section of the phallus, which has longitudinal wrinkles making it flexible and expandable. In the female genitalia, the ductus bursae is broad, heavily gelatinous or sclerotised, very short in certain species.
