Type species: Scorpiops hardwickii Gervais,1843
Diagnosis. Trichobothrium Eb3 on the external aspect of pedipalp chela located basally to trichobothrium Dt. Annular ring at vesicle/aculeus juncture absent. Three pairs of lateral eyes. Pedipalp patella with 17–19 external trichobothria. Ventral aspect of patella with 6–18 trichobothria. Chela with 4 trichobothria on the ventral aspect of the manus.
