Type:— RUSSIA. Siberia, Herb. Linnaeus 988.36 (lectotype LINN, photo!, designated by Leonova (1987: 181)).
= Artemisia transbaicalensis Leonova (1970: 195) , syn. nov.
Type:— RUSSIA. Prov. Czita, 9 km from Beklemishevo towards Preobrazhenskoe, 11 September 1966, I.N. Beideman (holotype LE barcode 01239406!).
Distribution: —Siberian Region and Far Eastern Region of Russia, Northeast China and Inner Mongolia, Mongolia, Korean Peninsula, and Eastern Europe.
Habitat: —Forest steppes, grasslands (saline or not), meadows, grassy slopes, shrublands, sparse forests and forest margins.
Phenology: —Flowering and fruiting from July to October.
