Remarks. This species was previously recorded from Mt. Nago-dake, Nago Castle Site in Nago City, and Nekumachiji-dake north-east of Nago City. New records demonstrate that this is most likely the most common and broadly distributed species of Cephennomicrus in the northern region of Okinawa-jima. Moreover, collecting more specimens than those previously known made it possible to compare females with males and identify the former. All newly recorded specimens were collected by sifting leaf litter and rotten wood followed by extraction using a Winkler apparatus.
The aedeagus of this species ( Figs 13–15 View FIGURES 7–17 ) is relatively delicate and prone to distortions during preparation; slightly erected aedeagi ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 7–17 ) must be carefully studied to identify displaced endophallic components ( Fig. 13 View FIGURES 7–17 ).
