Remarks. This is one of two Okinawan Cephennomicrus species previously known only from the southern half of the island (Chibana), the same area where C. disjunctus occurs. The holotype has been collected by a flight intercept trap, and the paratype by sifting leaf litter. All newly recorded specimens were collected by sifting leaf litter and rotten wood and extraction by Winkler apparatus. The two new records demonstrate that C. disjunctus has a broader distribution and also occurs in the north.
