Distribution. COSTA RICA (1): No Data. PANAMA (13): Chiriquí. NO DATA (2).
Remarks. The lectotype of Plusiotis chrysopedila H. W. Bates, 1888 was designated by Hawks (2001). Hawks reidentified one C. chrysopedila paralectotype as C. luteomarginata (see below). The specimen labelled “ Plusiotis aurora Bouc ♀ V. chrysopedila Bates’’ was moved from the C. aurora tray to the C. chrysopedila tray following change of status of Plusiotis aurora var. chrysopedila H.W. Bates, 1888 to C. chrysopedila (H.W. Bates, 1888) [new combination by Hawks 2001: 4]. Moore et al (2017) list the female lectotype and eight paralectotypes in Natural History Museum. The specimen from Fry with the green handwritten number 56925 (NHMUK 014589798) is reported in Fry’s notebooks as ‘ Costa Rica, Plusiotis aurota couleur typique, ex. Deyrolle”.
